Also called the tulle technique, this workmanship is one of the most complex in high jewelry. It takes nearly a month for the goldsmith to create a gold plate of half a millimeter by hand and shape minuscule hexagonal cells inside of it. The design comes to light and levitates upon the impalpable honeycomb texture.
